My name is David Keller-Gymnich. I am the heart-mate of Emily Gymnich-Keller and also the father of Daniel and Nicholas (as well as a yet unborn member of the family we’ve named Squirt).

My love of nautical things has spanned many years including a former job on board foreign fishing ships in Alaskan waters; Certified scuba diver for 20+ years (with over 500 dives made to numerous shipwrecks along the East coast of the United States); a college degree in Marine Biology and a taste for seafood!

With my time at sea, both with scuba diving, fishing and the like, I’ve come to appreciate a few knots, which are essential for use on or beneath the waves. With this fun-shop, we will explore a few of the practical knots used in maritime endeavors including some decorative knots.

Please feel free to bring your own favorite string, rope, sisal or come ready to receive the supplies I’ll provide for this knotty event!!
